Tomáš Szabo is a Senior Associate at BDO Legal with more than ten years of experience advising on real estate development, construction and property transactions. He plays a significant role in the firm’s work for real estate developers, investment funds and private equity clients.

Tomáš advises clients throughout the full lifecycle of brownfield and greenfield developments. His work includes land acquisitions, legal due diligence, project structuring, permitting matters, the development of infrastructure and utility networks, construction documentation, leasing arrangements and the subsequent sale of completed projects or individual assets.

He also advises on real estate transactions structured as share deals and asset deals. Tomáš conducts and coordinates legal due diligence, prepares and negotiates transaction documentation and supports clients in addressing corporate and ownership matters connected with their property investments.

Tomáš takes substantial day-to-day responsibility for the matters on which he works. He coordinates individual legal workstreams, communicates directly with clients and counterparties and works closely with technical, financial and other professional advisers involved in the project.

His detailed knowledge of the development process enables him to identify practical and legal risks from the acquisition and planning stages through construction, leasing and disposal. Within the Real Estate practice, Tomáš is trusted with complex matters requiring a high degree of independence and makes a significant contribution to the delivery of the team’s principal development and transactional mandates.
