Ľubomír Opačitý

​​Ľubomír Opačitý is a Senior Associate at BDO Legal with more than 11 years of experience in litigation, administrative proceedings and commercial legal advisory. Within the firm’s Energy and Infrastructure practice, he focuses on contentious and high-risk matters involving energy suppliers and other participants in regulated markets. 

​He represents clients in court proceedings and administrative matters before public authorities, including disputes arising from contractual and commercial relationships in the electricity and gas sectors. His experience covers the preparation of procedural strategy, legal submissions and representation throughout the different stages of contentious proceedings. 

​Ľubomír also advises energy clients on commercial contracts and the management of legal risks arising from their business relationships. His extensive courtroom experience enables him to assess contractual arrangements from an enforcement perspective and identify provisions that may create uncertainty, liability or disputes during their implementation. 

​He contributes to the drafting and review of contractual documentation with particular attention to the allocation of responsibilities, enforceability of contractual rights and the prevention of future disputes. This gives him a practical understanding of how commercial arrangements operate when disagreements arise between suppliers, customers, contractors and other market participants. 

​Within BDO Legal’s Energy and Infrastructure practice, Ľubomír supports the partners leading complex energy mandates by taking substantial responsibility for disputes, administrative proceedings and contentious contractual matters. He is experienced in matters requiring both detailed procedural knowledge and an understanding of the commercial and regulatory environment in which energy-sector clients operate.
