David Trutz Trutz

​​​​David Trutz is a Senior Associate at BDO Legal advising domestic and international clients on commercial law, corporate matters and M&A transactions. His practice also includes intellectual property and technology-related matters, particularly where these form part of a broader transaction or commercial arrangement.  ​

David supports clients throughout the lifecycle of corporate transactions, including legal due diligence, transaction structuring, transfers of equity interests and the preparation of transaction documentation. He also advises on shareholder agreements and the regulation of rights and obligations between shareholders and other business partners.  ​His commercial practice focuses on the preparation, review and negotiation of contracts and other arrangements supporting clients’ day-to-day operations and strategic business objectives. He works closely with clients to ensure that their contractual and corporate structures are legally compliant, commercially practical and capable of supporting future growth. 

​David has particular experience advising private equity investors, technology businesses, start-ups, software companies and e-commerce businesses. He provides ongoing legal support to fast-growing companies on matters arising from expansion, product launches, new commercial relationships and digital transformation initiatives.  ​

Within BDO Legal’s Commercial, Corporate and M&A practice, David contributes to transactional and advisory mandates requiring the coordination of corporate, contractual, intellectual property and technology-related issues. His ability to combine traditional corporate and commercial advice with an understanding of technology-driven business models is particularly relevant to clients operating in innovative and rapidly developing sectors. David advises clients in Slovak and English.​​​
